The Sony Ericsson K550 is a mid range mobile phone. Announced on February 6 2007, it was the successor of the K510 model and integrates a 2 megapixel CMOS camera sensor with two-LED photolight and an active lens cover for the camera lens protection and easy camera activation when taking pictures from the phone (en.wikipedia.org).

Main features:

  • Estimated CPU class: ARM9 201MHz
  • 2 MegaPixel (1632 x 1224 pixels) Camera with Autofocus, 2 LED Photolight, active lens cover
  • 2.25x Digital Zoom
  • Quad-band GPRS/EDGE support
  • NetFront Internet Browser
  • Mp3,WMA/AAC Playback
  • 64MB Internal Memory, Expandable with Memory Stick Micro Slot
  • FM Radio with RDS and Track ID Music Recognition
  • Bluetooth 2.0 with support for stereo sound output (A2DP)
  • Java MIDP 2.0 based from Sony Ericsson's Java Platform 7 (A100 Platform)
  • Real Multitasking (Runs up to 5 Java Applications at one time)
  • SAR 1.25 W/kg (10g)
Well, this is not the best cameraphone available. In fact, this is a mid-end but with sufficient features especially for blogging activity. With fair quality of camera resolution and simple shortcut to Blogger.com, you can take a picture of your precious moment anywhere and send it to your blog. All in a mid-end cameraphone. It's a good news for anyone with tight budget. Just remember, the quality of the picture can not be compared with its big brother, K800 and K850. I use this cameraphone for taking all pictures in this blog (except some picture from other sites).
